Client was originally formed by Kate Holmes (former member of then ) aka and Sarah Blackwood (former member of ) aka . In 2002 they were the first signing to , the label run by Depeche Mode's . After the split with Toast Hawaii in 2005, Client was signed by different labels like (for Europe except UK and Scandinavia), (for Scandinavia), (USA) and (Mexico). In the UK they release on band member Kate Holmes' own label . On December 19th 2010, Client B left the band. Nicole Thomas has been recruited for vocal duties.
