Review by Jennifer Ellis

The album Symphonie Nr 5 Symphonie Nr 8 by Franz Schubert, performed by The Academy Of St MartinintheFields and conducted by Sir Neville Marriner, is a masterful showcase of Schubert's works. The orchestra's performance is nothing short of stunning, with each instrument perfectly balanced and complementing each other to create a rich and full sound.

The album begins with Schubert's Symphony No. 5, which is a delightful and charming piece that showcases the composer's skill in creating beautiful melodies. The orchestra's interpretation of this symphony is lively and energetic, with each movement flowing seamlessly into the next.

The second half of the album features Schubert's Symphony No. 8, also known as the "Unfinished Symphony." This is a hauntingly beautiful piece that has become one of Schubert's most famous works. The Academy Of St MartinintheFields and Sir Neville Marriner's performance of this symphony is simply breathtaking, with the orchestra capturing the melancholic and introspective nature of the piece perfectly.
