Review by Leila Samarrai

The Royal Artillery Mounted Band's album, "Marching With The Gunners," is a stunning tribute to the military and their traditions. The album features a range of classic military marches, as well as some more contemporary pieces, all performed with precision and skill.

The band's musicianship is exceptional, with each instrument blending seamlessly with the others to create a sound that is both powerful and elegant. The album also features some stirring vocal performances, adding an extra layer of emotion to the music.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "The Great Little Army," a rousing march that celebrates the bravery and sacrifice of British soldiers throughout history. The band's performance of this piece is nothing short of spectacular, with every note played with conviction and passion.

About Royal Artillery Mounted Band

The Royal Artillery Band had their drum and fife as long ago as 1557, but it was the need for a band of musik in the regiment that led to the formation of the Royal Artillery Band in 1762. Since 1764, the band has been quartered with the Royal Artillery regiment in Woolwich, SE London. Todays band employs over fifty musicians who, in keeping with tradition, must be accomplished on both orchestral and wind band instruments. The band may appear on one day as a symphonic wind band (one of the largest in the British army), the next as a marching unit, and at another time as a full symphony orchestra (Englands oldest established symphony orchestra).
