The problem with this recording is that the original instrumental track has "lead" instruments that "fill in" the space where a vocal track might comfortably fit. It was never a backing track so has that additional production to fill out the recording. The original master tracks are obviously not available for this unofficial version therefore the "lead" instrumentation levels cannot be altered. Yje entire instrumental track would need to be lowered to allow Tommy's vocal to be heard above it. This results in Tommy's vocal track competing against the instrumentation at the same level creating a jarring listening experience. Tommy still sounds good, just a pity he's having to fight against the instruments to be heard!

This is the sort of shite Walker and Winstanley was doing when they fucked up the scene the 1st time round. Putting cameras in the Casino and Wigans soddin ovation and Footsee turning us into a floorshow. Breadhead trying to just rip the soulies off. Still happening, Ive yet to see a 'film' that truely portrays the scene as it was.

The vocal could work, but not with Tommy Hunt trying too hard!! I'd rather have heard a female vocal to be honest.

A great combination - a classic instrumental with the vocal of one of the most respected artists on the scene. I saw Tommy sing at Kent 25th anniversary and he is still a top professional. This vocal performance is gritty and matches nicely with Willie Mitchell's harder edge sound . I recently witnessed the reaction on the dance floor at IOW and it was great. Everyone smiled. Give me this any day over Fat Boy slim and that hip teens track. No way is this Levine - the production is still intact

Mixed comments but thanks.
Don't think its a Levine production, it is a bit karaoke I agree but when it plays it gets a good reaction and fills the floor. I think its raw and edgey and a bit different, and it fits in with our sort of playlists. Life would be so boring if we all liked the same thing.

Another sell out. Levine et al went round dragging these peeps out of retirement homes, put poxy suits on them and made them lipsink to old tracks they cant remember the words to. Tommy had a couple of good spots at niters but whoevers behind this should be ashamed!! Its what messed up Wigan, bread heads cashing in on the scene. KEEP THE FAITH PEEPS PLEASE!!!!!
